Subject: Fw: Take the PLEDGE TO END HUNGER

Friends, I don't forward much stuff that asks for a response, but I thought you would like to take 30 seconds to help relieve hunger.  All you need to do is click on the link below (pledge to end hunger link), then click on "share" and enter your name, email and state, and food banks in Texas could benefit.  Thanks for your time!

Blessings to you,

All,

There is a follow-up on the movement online to get people to sign a pledge to end hunger at www.pledgetoendhunger.com.  While the campaign doesnʼt encourage people to directly donate to food banks (Share our Strength is the financial beneficiary), pledges do provide food product to food banks.  CAFB was selected to receive the first truck if the campaign reached 1,000 pledges.  It was accomplished in about 24 hours.

The latest word as of today:

If 5,000 people sign the pledge by Tuesday, March 17 four additional food banks will receive a truckload of Tyson Foods product.

Texas is in the #2 spot, but there are other states quickly encroaching on that spot.   We all know what the need is at our food banks, and the problem in Texas.  Letʼs not miss an opportunity to receive a sizeable donation.  Feeding America will determine which Texas food bank receives the truck based on the area with the greatest need. .

Please use email, Facebook, twitter and any other quick communication channels to get the word out and encourage people to sign the pledge.  Each pledge = 140 meals.  There is no cost to pledge.
